The South African batter struck a career-best 88 off 59 balls as Northants beat Hampshire by 14 runs in the Vitality Blast final at Edgbaston.
His 11 fours and two sixes carried Northants to 169 after wickets tumbled around him. Vasconcelos scored more than half their runs and earned the Player of the Match award as the club lifted its third Blast trophy.
It was the perfect finish to an impressive white-ball campaign. Vasconcelos scored 439 runs from 15 innings at an average of 29.26 and strike rate of 143.93.
Only Chris Lynn scored more runs for Northants during the competition, while Vasconcelos’ 65 fours were the most struck by any batter in the tournament. His ability to find the boundary regularly helped set the tempo at the top of the order.

His form has stretched well beyond the Blast.
Vasconcelos has scored 572 runs from 13 County Championship innings at an average of 44, including three centuries.
He began with 127 against Kent as Northants made history by having each of their top four batters score a century in the same innings. They eventually declared on a mammoth 684-2.
Vasconcelos followed that with 115 against Worcestershire, helping Northants secure an innings-and-177-run victory.
His best performance came against Durham when he occupied the crease for 295 deliveries and struck a career-best 187. That innings underlined the patience and concentration he has brought to his red-ball batting this season.

The former Boland batter has now scored 1,011 runs in the Championship and Blast combined during 2026.
Vasconcelos joined Northamptonshire in 2018 and has gradually established himself as a key member of their batting unit. This season, however, has shown the full range of his game, from batting for hours in the Championship to delivering a title-winning innings under the Edgbaston lights.
