Klaasen, Brevis impress as Hundred action continues

Heinrich Klaasen's contribution helped power Manchester Super Giants to victory, while Dewald Brevis top-scored for London Spirit in The Hundred's Sunday double-header.

Manchester Super Giants vs Birmingham Phoenix – MSG won by 87 runs

Klaasen scored 20 as part of a Super Giants innings built around Jos Buttler’s 90, helping the hosts to an imposing 187-7.

Chasing 188, Birmingham Phoenix never got going, bowled out for exactly 100. Donovan Ferreira, leading the side, top-scored with 23, the only Phoenix batter to pass 20, as the Super Giants’ attack ran through the rest of the order with ease.

Trent Rockets vs London Spirit – Rockets won by four wickets

Dewald Brevis was the top scorer for London Spirit with 39, and Lhuan-dre Pretorius struck a quickfire 24, as Spirit posted 159-9.

Trent Rockets completed the highest successful chase at Trent Bridge in Hundred history, sealed by Craig Overton off his own brother Jamie with two balls to spare.
