IPL broadcast blackout for SA

SuperSport had broadcast the blockbuster T20 franchise tournament since the inaugural tournament in 2008.

In a tweet on Thursday, it said: “Discussions with the rights holder have unfortunately been unsuccessful and SuperSport will therefore not broadcast the IPL as of this year’s edition.”

Sixteen South Africans are set to play in the 2023 tournament, which starts on Friday.
