Northamptonshire vs Kent – Kent won by five wickets
Vasconcelos struck 55 as Northamptonshire posted 253, but Kent chased it down with five wickets in hand, driven by Harry Finch’s 85 and an unbeaten 55 from Chris Benjamin.
Middlesex vs Hampshire – Middlesex won by 160 runs
Kyle Abbott took 1-49 and scored 10 for Hampshire in a heavy defeat. Middlesex’s Joshua de Caires produced the standout performance of the match, following his 75 with the bat with figures of 6-35 to bowl Hampshire out for just 124, chasing 285.
Surrey vs Leicestershire – Leicestershire won by five wickets
Ruan de Swardt starred with the ball, taking 4-49 to help restrict Surrey to 270-9, before adding 18 with the bat as Leicestershire chased the target down, built around centuries from Rishi Patel (110) and Hamza Shaikh (104*).
Derbyshire vs Worcestershire – Worcestershire won by three wickets
Beyers Swanepoel took 3-15 to help bowl out Derbyshire for 138, then finished unbeaten on 18 to see his side home. Gareth Roderick top-scored in the chase with 39*.
Fateh Singh also starred for Worcestershire with the ball, taking a remarkable 6-32 to help restrict Derbyshire’s total in the first place.
Durham vs Sussex – Durham won by 72 runs
Colin Ackermann contributed 23 with the bat but went wicketless with the ball as Durham posted a huge 352-5, built on Alex Lees’ 132 and 73* from Ben Stokes. Will Rhodes then took 5-51 as Sussex, despite Charlie Tear’s 118, fell 72 runs short.
Somerset vs Gloucestershire – Somerset won by 35 runs
Graeme van Buuren was short of a remarkable century, finishing unbeaten on 96 after also taking 3-66 with the ball, but it was not enough as Gloucestershire came up 35 runs short chasing 353.
Migael Pretorius had a quieter day for Somerset, going wicketless while adding 1* with the bat. James Langridge’s 5-63 for Somerset proved crucial in restricting the chase.
