Andries Gous continued his outstanding MLC 2026 campaign as Washington Freedom booked their place in the final with a seven-run win over San Francisco Unicorns.
The Welkom-born USA international smashed 73 off 40 balls, with eight fours and three sixes, just days after a century, guiding Washington to 238-6. Lhuan-dre Pretorius fell for 18, caught by Obus Pienaar off Ben Dwarshuis, as the Unicorns began their chase.
Matthew Short’s explosive unbeaten 121 kept San Francisco in the contest, but it was not enough as they finished seven runs short.
Washington Freedom will face LA Knight Riders in Sunday’s final.
