The Proteas white-ball captain was caught behind playing down the leg side off the first ball he faced in SA20 cricket, against Durban’s Super Giants at Kingsmead, before bouncing back with 50 off 34 balls against the Joburg Super Giants at the Wanderers.
In Thursday’s SA20 semi-final against the Super Kings in Centurion, Bavuma was bounced out first ball by Williams, who appeared to hit a crack in the pitch.
