According to The Times of India, Sooryavanshi’s extraordinary campaign reached a new milestone as he became the first player in IPL history to win five individual awards in a single season.
The teenager collected the Emerging Player of the Season, Super Striker of the Season, Super Sixes of the Season, Orange Cap and Most Valuable Player awards in a clean sweep that underlined his dominance throughout the tournament.

Although Rajasthan Royals did not reach the final, Sooryavanshi stood out as the defining player of IPL 2026. He finished as the leading run-scorer with 776 runs at a staggering strike rate of 237.30, while also smashing a record 72 sixes, breaking Chris Gayle’s long-standing benchmark for a single season.
His impact stretched across the entire competition. He became the first uncapped batter to score two centuries in an IPL season and broke Yashasvi Jaiswal’s record for the most runs by an uncapped player in a single campaign.
Sooryavanshi produced several defining moments, including a 36-ball century against Sunrisers Hyderabad and a blistering 16-ball half-century in the Eliminator, equalling the fastest fifty in an IPL playoff match. He also reached 1,000 IPL runs in just 440 balls, setting another new benchmark for rapid scoring.

His dominance in the powerplay was unmatched, with 521 of his runs coming in the first six overs. His six-hitting efficiency also stood out, striking a boundary every 4.5 balls faced across the season.
While Royal Challengers Bengaluru lifted the IPL title, Sooryavanshi’s record-breaking performances ensured the individual spotlight belonged firmly to him. At just 15, he delivered one of the most explosive and statistically dominant seasons in IPL history.
