The Proteas camp have said that Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander should be fit to bowl in the morning.

‘Both Dale and Vernon experienced some tightness…understandably. The guys have bowled a team out in 60 overs. They each have bowled about 15 overs. It was more of a precaution that they came off,’ Dr. Mohammed Moosajee the Proteas’ team manager said, after the day’s play.

‘They will get treatment overnight and I’m sure they will be fine tomorrow morning.’

Moosajee went on to praise the attack who captured 12 wickets today, after a difficult start.

‘It is still a relatively good track to bat on and for our bowlers, who haven’t played test cricket for close on six months, it has been a great performance,’ he said.
