South Africa’s premier domestic limited-overs competition – the Ram Slam T20 Challenge – ‘Get Caught Red Handed’ initiative will have spectators across the country leaping over seats and stretching across grass embankments this season.
Fortunate fans who successfully take a single-handed catch at a televised fixture will be eligible to win a share of one million rand. The catch must be clean, held off a six and clearly visible during big-screen replays.
Supporters around the world have been doing this for years – and enthusiasts in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and surrounds are going to have to play catch-up cricket (excuse the pun).
