Madsen, Linde lead the way on busy Blast Sunday

Wayne Madsen and George Linde were among the standout South African performers across the latest round Vitality Blast action on Sunday.

Nottinghamshire vs Leicestershire – Notts won by 74 runs

Linde struck a quickfire 55 off just 22 balls, including five fours and four sixes, to set the platform for a Nottinghamshire victory. He also chipped in with 1-18 as Leicestershire were bowled out for 135.

Derbyshire vs Yorkshire – Match drawn

Madsen made 62 in a contest that ended in stalemate. Matthew Montgomery added five before being removed by Andrew Tye, but bounced back with 1-18 with the ball.

Durham vs Middlesex – Durham won by 100 runs

Colin Ackermann made an unbeaten 18 and David Bedingham added 11 as Alex Lees’ century powered Durham to 218-6.

Eathan Bosch took 2-56 and then scored 27, while captain Leus du Plooy made 34, but it was not enough as Middlesex were bowled out for 118.

Worcestershire vs Somerset – Worcestershire won by 36 runs

Gareth Roderick made 29 as Worcestershire sealed a 36-run win against Somerset.

Hampshire vs Kent – Kent won by 7 wickets

Tristan Stubbs made 18 before being run out by Daniel Bell-Drummond in Hampshire’s seven-wicket loss to Kent.
