• Luus destroys Ireland women

    Suné Luus ripped through the Ireland middle order, claiming 5-8 in four overs as South Africa women won by 67 runs on Wednesday.

    Chasing 157 for victory, Ireland collapsed to 89-9 to hand the Proteas women their first win of the tournament.

    Luus was on fire, removing Isobel Joyce (22), Laura Delany (3), Robyn Lewis (1), Kim Garth (7) and Lucy O’Reilly (0).

    Earlier Trisha Chetty (35) and Lizelle Lee (30 not out) top scored for the South Africa, while Dinesha Devnarain (24) and Chloe Tryon (20 not out) also made valuable contributions at the death to take their team to 156-5.
