South Africa have won the toss and decided to bat in the first Test at Newlands.
The Proteas have opted for a bowling attack of four seamers and a spinner. Dale Steyn will make his first Test appearance since November 2016.
Faf du Plessis has recovered from a viral infection and will lead the side. Quinton de Kock (hamstring) has also been cleared to play. As a result, South Africa come into this clash with a powerful batting lineup.
