• De Bruyn to miss Sydney Test

    Proteas batsman Theunis de Bruyn will return home for the birth of his first child.

    He will therefore miss the third Test against Australia at the SCG in Sydney, which gets underway from Thursday.

    De Bruyn scored 12 and 28 at No 3 in South Africa’s innings-and-182-run defeat in Melbourne in what was his first Test appearance since 2019.
