Abbott joins Warriors

Kyle Abbott has left the Dolphins to join the Warriors ahead of the next domestic season.

Abbott confirmed the news on Monday, telling Netwerk24 ‘I’m looking forward to this new challenge and the move will take me out of my comfort zone.’

The 28-year-old fast bowler has represented the Proteas in seven Tests, 24 ODIs and 21 T20Is, and is currently playing for the Kings XI Punjab in the IPL.

He will join the Eastern Cape-based franchise for pre-season training in September.
