David Miller led Brave’s South African response with 44 from 35 balls. The left-hander struggled early on the two-paced surface, reaching 10 from his first 18 deliveries, but found his range late in the innings. He struck 34 from his next 17 balls, including three fours and a six, before being run out from the penultimate delivery.
Tristan Stubbs made four from seven balls before Ben Kellaway produced an excellent boundary catch off Matthew Short.

Phil Salt then guided Fire home with an unbeaten 47 from 37 balls. Fire still needed nine from the final five deliveries, but Salt struck Chris Jordan for six over midwicket to seal victory with two balls remaining and secure their first-ever win over Brave.
