Vasconcelos struck 36, hitting five fours, as Northants cruised to victory. Marchant de Lange and Graeme van Buuren both went wicketless for Gloucestershire in a one-sided contest, with David Willey (73) and Nathan McSweeney (72*) making light work of the chase.
Surrey vs Essex – Surrey won by 7 runs
Simon Harmer made 15 and went for 36 without a wicket as Essex fell just short of Surrey’s imposing 240, with Jason Roy (65) and Ollie Pope (59) the star contributors of the home total.
Lancashire vs Derbyshire – Lancashire won by 4 runs
Wayne Madsen fell for just eight, bowled by Tom Aspinwall, while Matthew Montgomery scored two after taking 1-12 in another frustrating night for Derbyshire.
