Saffas Abroad: De Lange dazzles with sizzling six-for

Marchant de Lange's six-wicket haul for Gloucestershire was the standout South African performance in the latest round of England's County Championship.

County Championship Division One

In a draw against Essex, Durham’s Colin Ackermann scored 112 off 231 balls (seven fours) and David Bedingham 52 off 51 (seven fours, one six).

Dean Elgar made 46 off 81 deliveries (six fours) in Essex’s reply, before Ackermann added 32 off 77 (three fours) and Bedingham scored an unbeaten 33 off 34 (three fours, one six).

Kyle Abbott was Hampshire’s standout player in their innings-and-11-run loss to Surrey, claiming figures of 4-104.

Migael Pretorius scored a rapid 49 off 34 balls (nine fours) for Somerset in their draw with Worcestershire.

County Championship Division Two

Marchant de Lange was in a destructive mood for Gloucestershire as they drew with Middlesex, claiming figures of 6-49.
