Having been forced to follow on after being dismissed for 195 in response to the Titans’ daunting score of 647-7, WP fared better in their second innings to reach the end of day three on 260-5.
But Titans all-rounder Neil Brand’s three morning-session scalps helped bowl WP out for 313 (Yaseen Vallie couldn’t bat due to an injury).
Harmer took 3-149 to go with his excellent first-innings figures of 7-76.
In Potchefstroom, the EP Warriors beat the North West Dragons by 130 runs.
The Warriors declared on 364-2 after unbeaten centuries from Matthew Breetzke (152* off 265 balls) and Rudi Second (103* off 122).
Needing 349 runs to win, the Dragons were bowled out for 218, with Wesley Marshall (65) and Nicky van den Bergh (64) top-scoring. Mthiwekhaya Nabe took 3-28 and Lizo Makhosi 3-33 for the Warriors.
In Durban, the KZN Dolphins and Free State Knights played to a draw.
An outstanding innings of 177* off 357 balls from Matthew Kleinveldt enabled the visitors to declare on 397-4.
But the Knights bowlers could only pick up five second-innings wickets and the captains shook hands with the Dolphins on 174-5.
