The 2019 IPL tournament will be played in India, not South Africa, according to a press release from the BCCI.
The BCCI said that the decision to conduct the tournament in India was ‘based on the preliminary discussions with the appropriate central and state agencies/authorities’.
The BCCI will release full details shortly, although it is believed that the start date for the tournament has been confirmed for 23 March.
