‘It doesn’t matter if I have the worst bowling figures ever’ – Dale Steyn

– The Phalaborwa Express’ reply when asked about his potential role in the upcoming World Cup. 

‘It’s a team game, that is all that matters. We are talking about going to the World Cup. It really doesn’t matter if I go to the World Cup and I have the worst bowling figures ever, but if we win a World Cup trophy, that will be the goal achieved.’

‘You have to deal with your personal performances individually, but in the team, we have set goals for what we want to achieve,’ said Steyn in the October 2018 edition of Cricket SA’s online magazine.
