Proteas seamer Vernon Philander won the Delivery of the Year accolade at the Cricket South Africa awards in Pretoria on Saturday.
Philander had Pakistan batsman Azhar Ali caught by wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock during a key juncture of the third Test at the Wanderers in Johannesburg earlier this year.
Spinner Keshav Maharaj, fast bowler Kagiso Rabada and seamer Andile Phehlukwayo were also nominated for this award, but lost out to Philander.
