Shabnim Ismail, South Africa’s leading wicket-taker in both ODIs and T20Is, is back after reversing her international retirement.

The 37-year-old made her Proteas debut in 2007 and retired following the T20 World Cup final in Cape Town in February 2023. She brings 113 T20I caps and a national record 123 T20I wickets back to the squad.
During her time away from international cricket, Ismail remained one of the most active fast bowlers in the global franchise circuit, featuring in the Women’s Premier League, Women’s Big Bash League and The Hundred.
