The Jamaica Tallawahs were always in control against struggling St Lucia Stars.
The Tallawahs tore the Stars bowling apart in dramatic fashion, with Rovman Powell top-scoring with 64 off 37 balls (S/R 172.97), and with fine support from Johnson Charles (34) and Kennar Lewis (33). South African power-hitter David Miller blitzed the Stars in the last two overs, slamming 29 runs off the last 10 balls he faced to power his side to 204-5 off their 20 overs.
Best of the bowlers was Kesrick Williams with 3-34 at 8.50 per over, while Mark Chapman and Kieron Pollard both went for over 12 runs an over.
The Stars lost their first two wickets off the opening eight balls of the innings before Andre Fletcher (21) and David Warner (42 off 26 balls) took the fight back to the Tallawahs
Pollard (46 off 27) and Lendl Simmons (45 off 26) kept the run chase going in spectacular fashion, but tight bowling from Andre Russell (2-15, econ 5.00) and Imad Wasim (1-24, econ 6.00) restricted the Stars to 183-8 off their 20 overs.
The Stars are propping up the table, have played the most games (eight), but picking up just two wins, while the Tallawahs are currently top with four wins from seven.
