• Sri Lanka announce T20I squad

Sri Lanka named their squad for the one-off T20I against the Proteas on 14 August.

After trailing the Proteas 3-1 in the ODI series with one match to go, the hosts will hope they can finish off the series on a high.

They showed great fight in the fourth ODI on Wednesday to beat the Proteas in a thrilling three-run victory and will hope they can win the last ODI on Sunday to take that momentum into the T20 on 14 August.

They announced their 15-man T20I squad to take on the Proteas which included Dinesh Chandimal who returns after a long ban.

Angelo Mathews will return as captain of the side after missing Sri Lanka’s tri-series against Bangladesh and India and will lead a side that also includes five players who missed that series.
