Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis continued their scoring sprees in Major League Cricket this past week.

Quinton de Kock smashed 70 off 46 deliveries (eight fours, two sixes) for MI New York in their 47-run defeat to the San Francisco Unicorns. He then made 35 off 25 balls (two fours, three sixes) in a 39-run loss to the Texas Super Kings.

Donovan Ferreira hit 43 off 21 deliveries (six fours, four sixes) in the Texas Super Kings’ 52-run win against the LA Knight Riders, while Cape Town-born USA international Shadley van Schalwyk took 3-51 for the Knight Riders.

Ferreira went on to clobber 53 off 20 deliveries (three fours, five sixes) in a 39-run win against MI New York.

Proteas seamer Gerald Coetzee took 3-34 in the Seattle Orcas’ 32-run defeat to the San Francisco Unicorns.

Former Proteas captain Faf du Plessis struck 103* off 53 balls (five fours, nine sixes) – his second century of the tournament – in the Texas Super Kings’ 39-run win against MI New York.
