• Preview: Titans vs Dolphins

The Titans and Dolphins will contest the opening fixture of the One Day Cup in Centurion on Friday.

These sides met in the semi-final last season for the right to play the table topping Cape Cobras in the final. On that occasion, the Titans won by five wickets with nine balls to spare.

The final was washed out, meaning that the men from Pretoria are the joint defending champions. They will be keen to replicate that achievement, while the Dolphins will be determined to add this trophy to the T20 Challenge silverware that they won last season.

    Players to watch:

Roelof van der Merwe scored an unbeaten double hundred in the last round of the Sunfoil Series and has consistently been the Titans best limited overs bowler over the past few campaigns. His fighting spirit and all-round contribution will be the key to the hosts chances. The Durban-based side welcome back David Miller, who enjoyed good form for the Kings XI Punjab during the CLT20. If he gets going then it will be a tough day at the office for the Titans attack.

    Prediction:

The Dolphins have already experienced the pressure associated with limited overs cricket this season during the CLT20 in India. The Titans on the other hand may take some time to adjust to the white ball and for this reason, the Dolphins will avenge their semi-final defeat from last season.

    Squads:

    Titans:

Qaasim Adams, Farhaan Behardien, Henry Davids, Theunis de Bruyn, Marchant de Lange, Dean Elgar, Heino Kuhn, Ethy Mbhalati, Mangaliso Mosehle, Rowan Richards, Cobus Pienaar, Roelof van der Merwe, Shaun von Berg.

    Dolphins:

Morne van Wyk, Cameron Delport, Cody Chetty, Khaya Zondo, David Miller, Daryn Smit, Vaughn van Jaarsveld, Robbie Frylinck, Kyle Abbott, Imran Tahir, Craig Alexander, Sibonelo Makhanya, Andile Phehlukwayo.
