• Markram finds his groove

Aiden Markram sent out a timely reminder of his renewed form as he backed up his first-innings century with another for the Titans against the Warriors.

The Proteas opener has struggled for form coming into this match, but he appears to have snapped that a month before the Boxing Day Test against Sri Lanka.

Despite Markram’s heroics, the game is in the balance. The Titans are leading by 193 with three second-innings wickets in hand. Earlier on Wednesday, the Warriors scored 392, with Sinethemba Qeshile top-scoring with 97.

In Johannesburg, the Lions made a strong start as they chased 334 to win against the Knights. Openers Dominic Hendricks and Joshua Richards both got half-centuries as the Lions stood at 166-0 at stumps.

Wian Mulder (3-48) and Delano Potgieter (4-41) stood out for the Lions with the ball.

In Durban, the Cobras made 312 in response to the Dolphins’ first innings 389. Tony de Zorzi (58) and Zubayr Hamza (46) topped scored for the Cape side.

The Dolphins are 55-0 at stumps.
