• CSA welcomes new data partner

Cricket South Africa has announced the appointment of Chicago-based sports data leader Stats Perform as their exclusive official data partner.

The agreement will have Stats Perform accumulate, analyse and deliver high-speed data and ball-by-ball information for all international and domestic events.

Such data will be provided to all forms of media and betting operators to enhance insights and statistics, which could lead to greater engagement for all parties involved with CSA competitions and events.

The American company has a significant track record of working with some of the biggest sports operational teams and organisations in the world with Paris Saint-Germain, the New England Patriots, All Blacks and Golden State Warriors all benefiting from its data.

‘To achieve our goal, we need a comprehensive and premier data provider with a proven track record in global cricket competitions. With an impressive breadth of distribution into sportsbooks, global media and broadcast, as well as an extraordinary pedigree for collecting deep, accurate and fast data, Stats Perform is the perfect partner for us.

‘They will help us improve on-field performances through thorough data and data analysis software, commercialise our properties and engage with fans at home and all over the world. We are excited to work with them to grow the sport we love.’

Having been involved with international cricket for some time now, Stats Perform chief rights officer Alex Rice also believes their involvement will greatly benefit all local franchises, while the Proteas coaching staff will now have access to unprecedented data and video analysis.
