His 72 sixes broke Chris Gayle’s single-season record of 59 and his 63 fours took his boundary count to 135 across the tournament. He won the Orange Cap comfortably, finishing 44 runs clear of Shubman Gill in second place.

Rabada finished second on the MVP table with 408.0 points, claiming the Purple Cap with 29 wickets across the full tournament.
He set a new IPL record for the most powerplay wickets in a single season with 19, surpassing Mohammed Shami’s previous record of 17.
His 19 powerplay wickets in IPL 2026 set a new benchmark for powerplay bowling in a single IPL edition, while 165 dot balls and five catches underlined an all-round bowling contribution that went beyond wickets alone.

Jofra Archer finished third on the MVP table with 396.5 points and 25 wickets, while Shubman Gill was fourth with 364.5 points.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar rounded out the top five with 354.5 points and 28 wickets, his superior economy rate of 7.95 making him the most controlled bowler of the season despite finishing one wicket short of Rabada.
That a 15-year-old batter from Rajasthan and a 31-year-old Proteas fast bowler dominated the MVP standings.
