1. Sai Sudharsan (Gujarat Titans) – 638 runs
Sudharsan leads the run-scoring charts heading into the playoffs. The GT opener finished with 638 runs from 14 matches at an average of 49.07 and a strike rate of 157.92, with one century and seven half-centuries. He won the Orange Cap in IPL 2025 and is chasing back-to-back titles.
2. Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans) – 616 runs
A remarkable campaign from the GT captain. Gill has scored 616 runs at a strike rate of 161.67 with six half-centuries, combining his captaincy duties with consistently destructive batting at the top of the order.

3. Heinrich Klaasen (Sunrisers Hyderabad) – 606 runs
South Africa’s Klaasen sits third with 606 runs at a strike rate of 159.47 and six half-centuries — arguably the finest IPL season of his career. The Proteas wicketkeeper-batter has been SRH’s most reliable performer all season.
4. KL Rahul (Delhi Capitals) – 593 runs
Rahul finished with 593 runs at a strike rate of 174.41, with one century and five half-centuries. A brilliant individual season for Delhi despite their early elimination. His tally is now frozen.
5. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (Rajasthan Royals) – 583 runs
The most remarkable entry on this list. The 15-year-old finished fifth with 583 runs at a strike rate of 232.27 — the highest of any batter in the top five. One century and three fifties in a debut IPL season that has left the cricket world speechless.
With Sudharsan, Gill, Klaasen and Sooryavanshi all active in the playoffs, the Orange Cap race remains very much alive.
