In 2014 former West Indies spinner Sunil Narine became the first player in T20 history to bowl a maiden during a super over.
Narine represented the Guyana Amazon Warriors in a Caribbean Premier League match with the Trinidad & Tabago Red Steels when the clash was sent into a super over, with both teams locked on 118.

Defending 11 in the super over, Narine stunned the world by securing a brilliant wicket maiden, which handed the Warriors a remarkable victory.
