The IPL Play of the Day goes to David Miller, for sheer luck after the ball hit his stumps.
Veteran Kolkata Knight Riders leg-spinner Brad Hogg was cruelly denied a wicket in his side’s victory over the Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday night, as the ball hurtled onto Miller’s leg stump, only for the bail to roll a little and stay on the stumps.
That would have been a golden duck for Miller, but perhaps it was a blessing in disguise for KKR, as he went on to score 13 off 18 balls, which played its part in leaving Kings XI seven runs short of KKR’s total.
