    Dean Elgar scored his first hundred for Essex on Friday in his second County Championship appearance.

    The former Proteas captain, who made 80 and 26 against Nottinghamshire last week, struck 18 fours in his innings of 120 against Kent on Friday to help Essex recover from 10-2.
