The EP Warriors, KZN Dolphins and Boland remained unbeaten in the T20 Challenge on Friday.
At St George’s Park, the Warriors claimed a six-wicket victory over Western Province. The visitors were restricted to 134-9 in their 20 overs as Wesley Bedja (4-22) and Kerwin Mungroo (3-26) delivered destructive spells for the hosts.
Captain Matthew de Villiers (61) led the chase with authority, while Muhammad Manack (43) provided solid support as the Warriors cruised to victory in just under 16 overs.
In Potchefstroom, the North West Dragons suffered a 31-run defeat to the Dolphins in a rain-affected clash reduced to 17 overs per side.
The Dolphins posted a competitive 155-9, with debutant Leus du Plooy (60) starring alongside Khaya Zondo (43).
Their bowlers then finished the job, with Eathan Bosch (4-27), Anrich Nortje (3-18) and Tristan Luus (3-20) combining to bowl the Dragons out for 124 despite brief resistance from Meeka-eel Prince, Diego Rosier and Lesiba Ngoepe.
Meanwhile, Boland capped off a stellar week at home with back-to-back victories over Western Province and the Titans in Paarl.
Boland sealed a commanding 65-run win against WP thanks to an unbeaten 52 from Lehan Botha, before Botha again played a key role in a seven-wicket win against the Titans, scoring an unbeaten 42.
Skipper Clyde Reeves-Fortuin added a rapid 50 off 32 balls in the successful chase.
The T20 Challenge continues on Saturday, with the KZN Inland Tuskers travelling to Johannesburg to face the Lions, as both teams search for their first win of the competition.
