A fourth IPL season awaits Proteas bowling star Kagiso Rabada at the Delhi Capitals with last year’s finalists hoping to go one better in 2021. Here’s a look at Rabada’s IPL record so far.
Rabada’s rise in international cricket has had a similar impact on his value to the Delhi Capitals, who really have become a strong outfit in recent years.
The speedster was bought by the then Delhi Daredevils in 2017 and broke on to the IPL scene still young and fighting for bowling maturity.
Unfortunately, a back injury ruled him out for the whole of the 2018 campaign. He would, however, return with a bang in 2019 and it was at this stage that his fearlessness began to take shape as he ran through the competition with the second-most wickets (25).
It got better for Rabada in last year’s IPL, where he played a crucial role in inspiring the Capitals to the final where he eventually finished with the Purple Cap for the most wickets – bagging 30 in 17 matches played.
