    Shamsi in as SA bowl

Tabraiz Shamsi Shamsi in as SA bowl
    Published on February 13, 2018 | Leave a response

South Africa have won the toss and opted to bowl in the fifth ODI against India at St George’s Park.

The Proteas beat India at the Wanderers this past Saturday to register their first win in the series. South Africa need to win the remaining games in Port Elizabeth and Centurion to force a draw.

Ottis Gibson has made one change for the must-win clash at St George’s Park. Spinner Tabraiz Shamsi has come in for Chris Morris.

At the toss, captain Aiden Markram said that the overcast conditions influenced the decision to bowl first. India skipper Virat Kohli seemed happy to bat first, though.

PREVIEW: SA vs India (5th ODI)

India have retained the side that played at the Wanderers. It will be interesting to see if their spinners can bounce back after an ineffective showing in Johannesburg.

South Africa: 1 Hashim Amla, 2 Aiden Markram (c), 3 JP Duminy, 4 AB de Villiers, 5 David Miller, 6 Heinrich Klaasen (wk), 7 Andile Phehlukwayo, 8 Kagiso Rabada, 9 Morne Morkel, 10 Tabraiz Shamsi, 11 Lungi Ngidi

India: 1 Rohit Sharma, 2 Shikhar Dhawan, 3 Virat Kohli (c), 4 Ajinkya Rahane, 5 Shreyas Iyer, 6 MS Dhoni (wk), 7 Hardik Pandya, 8 Bhuvneshwar Kumar, 9 Kuldeep Yadav, 10 Jasprit Bumrah, 11 Yuzvendra Chahal
