Jacques Rudolph’s Glamorgan were cruelly denied a place in the English T20 Blast quarterfinals when rain reduced the match to a five-over blast.
Colin Ingram top scored with 18 off eight balls, but the total of 45 was nowhere near enough.
Lancashire remain on course for the full house of honours in Ashwell Prince’s proposed last season, but they will have to beat Kent away to stay in the T20 hunt.
Rain also ruined the hopes of many on the brink, but at the end of the day, the quarterfinals had been set. The fixtures are: Aug 12: Sussex v Northamptonshire at Hove; Aug 13: Birmingham v Essex at Edgbaston; Aug 14: Worcestershire vHampshire at New Road; Aug 15: Kent v Lancashire at Canterbury.
