Islamabad United’s Andries Gous and Essex spinner Simon Harmer were the standout South Africans overseas this past week.
County Championship Division One:
Former Proteas seamer Kyle Abbott took 3-57 in Hampshire’s drawn match with Durham.
Somerset’s Migael Pretorius continued his fine form with bat and ball, taking 3-24 in the first innings, before hitting 24 off 20 deliveries (three fours) and then following up with a spell of 3-36.
Former Proteas spinner Simon Harmer lead Essex from the front, taking a first innings 4-43 and second innings 4-120 as Somerset claimed a three-wicket victory.
County Championship Division Two:
Colin Ingram scored 81 off 165 balls ((four fours, one six), before knocking a second innings 64 (seven fours, one six) in Glamorgan’s draw with Derbyshire.
Pakistan Super League:
Welkom-born USA international Andries Gous scored 41 off 27 deliveries (two fours, three sixes) in Islamabad United’s 88-run defeat to Lahore Qalandars.
