Proteas wicketkeeper-batsmen Kyle Verreynne scored 41 off 64 balls (four fours) and 38 off 59 balls (four fours) for Nottinghamshire.

Migael Pretorius picked up 3-24 in Somerset’s five-wicket win against Sussex.

Former Proteas seamer Kyle Abbott continued his superb form, taking 5-47 and 3-44 in Hampshire’s 89-run win against Warwickshire.

Essex spinner Simon Harmer took 4-37 in the second innings as Worcestershire smashed Essex by 225 runs.

County Championship Division Two

Joburg-born former England international Keaton Jennings hit a second-innings 35 off 42 deliveries (six fours) in Lancashire’s draw with Derbyshire.
