• Day the records tumbled

England remarkably skittled Australia for just 60 in the first session of the fourth Test at Trent Bridge, with Stuart Broad taking 8-15 on his home ground.

With that of course, came plenty of records. Here are a collection of them.

    • They were the 8th best figures by an Englishman

    • It was the quickest five-wicket haul at the start of an innings
    • The fifth wicket to fall took 25 balls – the fewest amount in the history of Tests
    • Australia were bowled out for 60 in 18.3 overs. It was their 8th lowest total of all time
    • Seventh lowest total against England
    • Seventh shortest completed innings of all time
    • Second shortest completed innings in the Ashes
    • It was the first time in the Ashes that extras has been the highest run-scorer
