• Rajasthan cruise past Sunrisers

The Rajasthan Royals picked up their third victory of the 2020 IPL by beating the Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets in Dubai on Sunday.

The Royals did a good job with the ball to restrict the Sunrisers to only 158-4 in their 20 overs with captain David Warner (48) and Manish Pandey (54) the worthy contributors in the innings.

Jofra Archer once again kept things tidy with a spell of 1-25 in his four overs as the Royals were set a relatively easy target to chase with their strong batting lineup.

In reply, it wasn’t all plain sailing for Steve Smith’s team with the Australian, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes departing early that slumped the Royals to 26-3.

Spinner Rashid Khan and Khaleel Ahmed kept the Sunrisers in the game with regular wickets but in the end Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia shared an 85-run stand for the seventh wicket to guide the Royals home in the final over of the match.

The result saw the Royals move up the IPL table into 6th spot, while sharing six points in the competition so far with the Sunrisers.
