The start of the first ODI between New Zealand and South Africa in Hamilton has been delayed due to rain.

The toss was initially scheduled for 1:30pm local time, and play was expected to get under way at 2pm. Unfortunately, the game has been delayed as the players wait for the weather as well as the state of the outfield to improve.

Play is expected to commence at 5:15pm local time (6:15am SAST). The game has been reduced to 34 overs a side.
