• Quiet night for Rabada, but Capitals claim win

Chasing 155, Prithvi Shaw dazzled to help the Delhi Capitals crush the hapless Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets in Ahmedabad.

The supremely talented Shaw (82) scored at a strike rate of over 200, his 132-run partnership with Shikhar Dhawan (46) broke the back of the KKR attack and set up an easy win for DC.

DC reached their target with an impressive 21 balls to spare and just two wickets gone. The chase was down to a very average first innings from KKR. The KKR batting unit was very subdued after being sent in to bat and only got to a respectable total of 154-6 because of Andre Russell’s power hitting – he made 45 off 27 balls.

South African Kagiso Rabada completed his four overs for 31 runs and no wickets.

DC join the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings on five wins while KKR suffered their fifth loss.
