Reinhard van Tonder has been a big player for Grey College, who has qualified to represent the Knights in the Coca-Cola T20 schools challenge in Potchefstroom from 18 to 21 March.
For the third year on a row there will be a panel of judges that will select the Coca-Cola Hero of the Day. This daily award will honour the standout player on each match day.
The Coca-Cola Hero of the Day is not necessarily the best player of the day but it is a recognition of someone that has done something that changes the course of a game. The winner could be the player that ran out a batter who was in form, an acrobatic catch to dismiss an opposing batter, etc.
Reinhard is one of the players that stands a good chance of winning the award due to the fact that he is a huge contributor to the team with the bat. Across all formats, Reinhard, has hit over a 1 000 runs for his school in the first term. Reinhard has also grown as a captain and he has learned to encourage his players to get the best out of them.
