The Proteas have won the toss and decided to bowl in the first ODI against England in Leeds.

The conditions at Headingley are sunny and the pitch is not expected to deteriorate over the course of the game. At the toss, Proteas captain AB de Villiers said that the weather and nature of the track factored into his decision to bowl.

De Villiers added that he was confident that his side would chase down any total posted by England. Meanwhile, England skipper Eoin Morgan said that he also would have bowled first if given the option.

ENGLAND: 1 Alex Hales, 2 Jason Roy, 3 Joe Root, 4 Eoin Morgan (c), 5 Ben Stokes, 6 Jos Buttler, 7 Moeen Ali, 8 Chris Woakes, 9  Adil Rashid, 10 Liam Plunkett, 11 Mark Wood

SOUTH AFRICA: 1 Quinton de Kock, 2 Hashim Amla, 3 Faf du Plessis, 4 AB de Villiers (c), 5 JP Duminy, 6 David Miller, 7 Chris Morris, 8 Wayne Parnell, 9 Andile Phehlukwayo, 10 Kagiso Rabada,  11 Imran Tahir
