Nepal move for T12 … balls

Seven ducks littered the China national cricket side’s scorecard as they were bowled out for 26 in 13 overs against Nepal in their ICC World Twenty20 Asia Region Qualifier B in Kuala Lumpur.

One of the bright young stars of world white-ball cricket, Sandeep Lamichhane returned the unreal figures of 4-1-4-3 (econ 1.00) as Nepal decimated China’s scorecard, with 19-year-old Lalit Rajbanshi (3-5) and 32-year-old Basant Regmi (3-12) also cashing in on an easy crop of wickets.

Aside from seven ducks, only three of the China batsmen troubled the scorers, with Hong Jiang Yan top-scoring with 11 runs off 27 balls. It was Yan’s highest T20 score, having scored 1, 0, 1 and 1 in his four previous T20 matches.

Nepal raced to their victory target off just 11 balls, with Binod Bhandari slamming 24 runs off just eight balls, with three fours and a six – at a strike rate of 300.00!
