• Khaya Majola Cricket Weeks’ magic moments

    With the Coca-Cola Khaya Majola Cricket Week due to start on Sunday 16 December, we look back at five great moments and interviews with promising schoolboy players from recent Weeks.

    Highlights from day one of the 2017 Coca-Cola Khaya Majola Cricket Week as Gauteng and Eastern Province battled out a time cricket match at the University of Johannesburg’s Soweto campus.

    A future star of the world stage chats to School Sports News about his three for 26 in the T20 against North West in 2012. Kagiso Radaba’s bowling at the death secured his side’s win.

    Eastern Province’s captain, Anthony Dakin, became the first player in the history of the Coca-Cola Khaya Majola Week to score a century in a T20 match. He smashed an unbeaten 107 runs from 74 deliveries at the main oval of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University against Northern Cape to secure his place in the history of the tournament. Dakin struck ten fours and three sixes in this milestone innings.

    Border’s Sinethemba Qeshile was named Coca-Cola Hero of the Day for day 4 of the 2017 Coca-Cola Khaya Majola Cricket Week after he scored a dominant 103 not out off 91 balls – and then took five catches behind the stumps – against KwaZulu-Natal Inland.
