• Kallis set for coaching role with England

    Former Proteas star Jacques Kallis will be joining England as a batting consultant for their tour of Sri Lanka in January.

    Kallis, who recently worked with the South Africa team as a consultant, but was not part of the Proteas’ management for England’s recent tour, will now take up a new role with the English.

    England will play two Tests in Sri Lanka before going on tour to India. Both Tests against Sri Lanka will be played in Galle on 14 and 22 January.

    Kallis will work with England head coach Chris Silverwood and alongside assistant coach Paul Collingwood, wicketkeeping consultant James Foster, fielding coach Carl Hopkinson, bowling coach Jon Lewis and spin bowling consultant Jeetan Patel.
