The Delhi Capitals secured their fourth win of this year’s IPL after beating the Sunrisers Hyderabad in a tense super over on Sunday.
Prithvi Shaw struck 53 off 39, while Steve Smith made an unbeaten 34 as last year’s finalists posted 159-4 in their 20 overs.
The Sunrisers struggled initially in their chase – slumping to 117-6 before Kane Williamson smashed his way to an unbeaten half-century.
The New Zealander’s heroics with the bat saw the Sunrisers hit 16 runs from the final over to level the scores after their innings.
Williamson and David Warner then only managed to post seven runs after batting first in the super over.
Rishabh Pant found a valuable boundary for the Capitals off the third ball of their over before two leg byes from the final two balls saw them home.
