AB de Villiers’ biggest IPL scores

AB de Villiers played 184 IPL matches between 2008 and 2021 for Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, scoring 5,162 runs at a strike rate above 150.

Here are his five highest IPL scores.

RCB vs Mumbai Indians – 10 May 2015 – 133 (59 balls)*

De Villiers’ highest IPL score came at Wankhede, where he struck 19 fours and four sixes. He shared a 200-plus partnership with Virat Kohli as RCB posted 235-1 and won by 39 runs.

RCB vs Gujarat Lions – 14 May 2016 – 129 (52 balls)*

De Villiers hit 10 fours and 12 sixes in Bengaluru, sharing a 229-run stand with Kohli. RCB finished on 248-3 before bowling Gujarat Lions out for 104.

Delhi Daredevils vs Chennai Super Kings – 23 April 2009 – 105 (54 balls)*

His first IPL century came in Durban, where he struck five fours and six sixes. Delhi posted 189-5 and secured a nine-run win.

De Villiers made 90 not out off 39 balls in Bengaluru, hitting 10 fours and five sixes. RCB chased 175 in 18 overs to beat Delhi by six wickets.

RCB vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – 4 May 2014 – 89  (41 balls)*

De Villiers struck six fours and eight sixes in an unbeaten 89. RCB chased 156 with one ball to spare, beating Sunrisers by four wickets.
